Installing the My Expat Network VPN client on Mac OS X
Ok lets get you up and running. Before you know it you'll be watching your favourite TV shows, unblocking Facebook to catchup with friends and family, safe in the knowledge that you have secure internet access to our British servers.

If you're downloading the Mac OS X VPN client with Safari it will normally automatically unzip itself so that it is ready to be used.

If you're using Firefox then you'll have to double click on the MyExpatNet.zip file to unzip it
Step One
Drag the MyExpatNet application into the Applications folder.
Step Two (for Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.7 Users)
Double click on the MyExpatNet application to run it for the first time.

Because you downloaded this application from the internet you will be asked if you are sure you want to open it.
Click on the Open button.

When prompted for your admin password enter it.
Go to Step Three
Step Two (for OS X 10.8 Users)
Control-click or right click on the MyExpatNet VPN application to run it for the first time.
Select Open from the contextual menu that appears.

Click Open in the dialog box.

If prompted, enter an administrator name and password.

Step Three
You may have noticed a new icon appear in the top right hand corner of your screen in the Menu Bar.

When you are not connected to the My Expat Network VPN service the little arrow on the icon will be Red. When it is connecting it will turn Orange and when it has successfully connected it will turn Green. Simple really!
Step Four

Click on the icon in the Menu Bar to reveal the drop down menu.
Select the Connect 'MyExpatNetwork' option from the drop down menu.
You'll be asked one last time to enter your admin password.

The icon will animate to show that it is connecting.
Once the arrow turns green you're good to go!
Step Five

Disconnecting is just as simple. Just repeat the last steps and choose Disconnect 'MyExpatNetwork'
Done.
