Netflix have been blocking all VPN providers very aggressively, making access rather hit and miss. Netflix was for many a great source of English speaking content from where ever they were in the world. Whilst Netflix only offered their service in a limited number of countries it suited them to “turn a blind eye” to people using a VPN from markets they were not present. They were happy to receive your subscription fees!
Now Netflix offers very limited content in over 120 markets globally and at the same time is blocking anyone trying to access the US content, which is much greater. This has proved to be very frustrating to our clients and frankly is a rip off! Why should we pay the same or more for 10% of the content?
So what are the alternatives? The obvious alternative is Amazon Instant Video , which is not actively blocking VPN access. It offers a US and UK service and is free to anyone that signs up for the Prime delivery service. It also give you access to Amazon Music which is an excellent music streaming service. You do need a US, UK, German, Japanese or Austrian payment method as these are the markets currently served.
Don’t forget that you can use a VPN Router and Amazon Fire TV or Roku streamer to improve your viewing experience.
