Stay secure online working form home during lockdown
Because of the global lockdown many of us are at home on our domestic Wi-Fi connections, which of course does not mean that we are safe from security risks.
Hackers, third-party snoopers, identity thieves and other digital threats are always out there, particularly when the bad guys know we might be sending sensitive work data from home…no matter where we happen to be.
When we work from home we should make sure to connect to the internet via a VPN to securely encrypt all of our data and mask our true IP address for full privacy. As long as we are connected to the internet, our private data will be hidden from prying eyes.
Make sure to get a VPN with a “Kill Switch” so if the VPN connection gets dropped it won’t continue to send information on an open or un-encrypted connection. The kill switch will terminate your session a if the VPN fails for any reason.
Of course we are all entitled to a break when we work from home !! So get a VPN that also gives you access to your favourite online content, such as HULU.
If you don’t know what HULU is, it’s a U.S. media streaming service like BBC iPlayer or ITVHub are in the U.K.
HULU has some fantastic shows and films that can’t be accessed anywhere outside of America, unless you have a specific VPN to get the all important U.S. IP address.
Join My Expat Network to get access to HULU from wherever you are in the world, and enjoy your home working breaks watching fantastic TV shows and films for the first time.
The security features of My Expat Network will keep your online activity safe AND will also give you access to some otherwise unavailable online media content from just £3.99 a month !!
