The 2018 Winter Olympics start in PyeongChang on 9th-25th Feb
The 2018 Winter Olympics will take place from Feb. 9, 2018 to Feb. 25, 2018. Competitions will be held at 13 different locations across the city of PyeongChang, South Korea.
In 2014, Russia led the way with 33 total medals, followed by the United States with 28, Norway with 26 and Canada with 25.

WHEN ARE THE WINTER OLYMPICS?
The 2018 Winter Olympics commence on Friday, Feb. 9 and end on Sunday, Feb. 25.
WHAT CITY IS HOSTING?
The host city is PyeongChang, South Korea. PyeongChang is about 80 miles east of Seoul and 60 miles south of the Demilitarized Zone separating North and South Korea.
South Korea last hosted the Olympic Games in 1988, when Seoul hosted the Summer Olympics. The opening and closing ceremonies will take place in PyeongChang Olympic Stadium.
WHERE WILL THE EVENTS TAKE PLACE?
There are two main hubs where the competition will take place: The PyeongChang Mountain Cluster and the Gangneung Coastal Cluster.

WHAT ARE THE NEW EVENTS THIS YEAR?
The International Olympic Committee added four events to the games this year: Big air snowboarding, freestyle skiing, mass start speed skating and mixed doubles curling.
