This week we have launched a host of new security features for our My Expat Network VPN service.
Giving all of our subscribers additonal security at no extra cost.
So now as well as watching all of your favourite online TV content from wherever you are in the world, you can access the internet knowing you are fully protected from revealing your location, and personal information to hackers, snoopers and identity thieves.
Existing subscrbers can download our new VPN client by logging into your account on our website...and you can get our new Apple iOS and Android Apps from the Apple Store or Google Play. Just search for My Expat Network VPN Pro App
Below is a brief summary of our new features.
AES 256 Encryption - The highest current level of security for sending data online.
Kill Switch - VPN kill switches are designed to prevent your connection from accidental exposure to others. If your VPN connection is dropped without warning, the kill switch cuts off your internet connection immediately, preventing your continued browsing on an unsecured network. This is an optional feature that can be found in your VPN settings.
DNS Leak Protection - A DNS leak refers to a security flaw that allows DNS requests to be revealed to ISP DNS servers. Our system sends your DNS requests via the VPN, thereby preventing any data from leaking**
Stealth Mode - Our Stealth Mode uses sophisticated obfuscation techniques that makes your VPN connection apppear to be regular HTTPS internet traffic. Particulary applicable to our subscribers living in the UAE. Stealth mode is now available for all of the countries where we offer a VPN. (Our Amazon App has 'Stealth Mode' for our UK and US VPN's only)
Secure P2P - Our VPN is P2P (Peer to Peer) friendly. For example, allowing the sharing of large video files. We recommend you only transfer data that you own the copyright to. You may be prosecuted if you do not own the material you share. We direct all of our P2P traffic via VPN servers in countries that permit file sharing in this way.
Jump Connection - You can select 'Jump Connection' within your VPN settings which will randomly re-assign your IP address within our international pool of 120 servers every 30-45 minutes.
**Not with simultaneous wifi and ethernet connections
