At My Expat Network, we’re often asked if there are alternative ways to watch programmes on your TV, without all the fuss of cables to hook up your PC/Mac/Mobile to your TV. And we are delighted to tell you, yes there is!
My Expat Network has teamed up with Sabai Technology to bring you a range of VPN Routers which will work brilliantly with all of our subscriptions.
Sabai Router
The Sabai Router gives you a UK Internet connection via WiFi throughout your home. This will give you the ability to extend the UK IP location, and access IP restricted content and websites using any device within your household, including Smart TV, Games Consoles, Roku and Apple TV.
Combining this service with a Roku kit means you can watch programmes directly on your TV without the need for cables.
Roku
Roku is a fantastic bit of kit! Simply put, Roku is a Streaming Player with its own channel selection than connects wirelessly to your TV via your WiFi network.
It is still growing its range of channels, but to date Roku includes BBC iPlayer, Demand 5, Sky News, Netflix and Now TV (which also includes a pay per view Sky Sports option). It also has PLEX and Twonky – these features allow you to use your PC/Mac/Mobile device as a server to beam content to your Roku box and on your TV screen.
If you combine both the Sabai Router and Roku kit, you have the ultimate streaming service! You’ll be able to switch on your TV and watch your favourite shows, without having to load your computer or Internet Connection separately.
You will need a My Expat Network subscription, which start from £5 a month, to benefit from the full services, so make sure you sign up at www.my-expat-network.co.uk/landing-page-uk-multiuse.
