Unfortunately, when connecting your PC or Mac to your TV, sometimes the picture won’t show in full screen. This can be very frustrating, but it’s easily fixed!
The reason this happens is because of the cable or connection to your TV. Always use your HDMI connection, and an HDMI cable when you want to stream your favourite shows straight to your television. Pay particular care not to use the VGA computer display cable, as this will cause your display to be smaller.
We also have another tip for you, and it’s called BBC Bigscreen.
The BBC has an alternative site to the traditional iPlayer site called BBC Bigscreen. This site was originally designed specifically for PS3 and Wii users, however there are also a couple of benefits that can be useful for users outside the UK.
This means, if you have an internet connection (fast or slow) and normally have problems streaming from BBC iPlayer, you can now stream programmes without any interruptions and straight to your TV.
